ABOUT

Who I Am

From very early on, as a little kid I was very inspired by the fantastical elements of movies, books,

and art, how they could create places and people that were grander than our own.

I feel like this was the first step of my reflection on how I felt as a person.

Living as a queer person can often feel very much like living in a box others try to hold you inside.

To me, worldbuilding was a way to imagine a space that stretched beyond that box and recontextualize

my struggles into new realities.

I am also someone who grew up with learning disabilities, which I think brought me towards

the passion of languages. I grew up going to speech therapists multiple days a week to better my

communication ability and I feel like my fictional language, "Manaean", reflects a new form of finding

new ways I can communicate and represent my thoughts.
